Resolving Duplicate Leads Found During Import

When importing leads, you can look for other leads or contacts that exist in the database. Use this view to manually import or merge the duplicate records.

Sage SalesLogix can only search for duplicate records that you have permission to view. A duplicate record that you are not able to access may still exist.

 

To search for matching records

  1. Open the Lead Import History Detail view, and click the Duplicates tab.
  2. Click Resolve next to the lead you want to re-import or merge.
  3. Next to Type, select which types of records to search.
  4. Under Match Filters, select the filter check boxes that you want to apply.
  5. Select one of the following Options:
  1. To perform an Advanced Search click Advanced Options.
  2. Click Update Potential Matches.
  3. Do one of the following:
  4. Merge the lead with a matching contact
    1. In the Matched Contact/Lead Records grid, click Merge next to the record you want to merge with.
    2. Complete the steps for merging records.
  5. Manually import the lead
  6. Click Cancel to leave the lead as a duplicate.

Once a duplicate is resolved, it is removed from the Duplicates tab.
